This Special Issue on COVID-19 collates papers of particular interest, of both clinical and scientific attentiveness.

Distinguished Authors with authority and expertise in the field discuss the current knowledge and future perspectives regarding the diagnostic, clinical, therapeutic and pathophysiological aspects of SARS-CoV-2-related manifestations.

In the epicentre of interest remains the most recent information regarding the efficacious treatment of symptomatic patients with pulmonary and extra-pulmonary manifestations, prevention measures mainly based on the development of effective vaccination and improvement of diagnostic tests, which will increase the sensitivity and specificity of virological and immunological markers, and can be widely used for screening or diagnostic purposes.

The collection of the papers presented, editorial, reviews or original, significantly contribute to the heated communication amongst researchers. The Readers of the Journal, by reading these papers, are to be involved in a new era of knowledge implementing appealing material, which will transform their clinical practise. The intention is this information to act as the impetus of further brainstorming on the topics discussed.

We hope that in the not too distant future we will have the opportunity to fruitfully complete more special issues devoted to this topic. We are grateful to the participating Authors for their excellent contributions and the Reviewers of the Journal for their handling of the review process in a timely manner.

Enjoy the reading!
